A volumizing brow mascara is recommended especially for thin and sparse eyebrows. I’ll admit that I opted for the mini version as it costs a fortune. It works well, however, you can find better eyebrow-styling mascaras at this price. It comes with a precise applicator that makes using the product easy and fun. It gives the eyebrows a nice color and extra volume and defines them well without touch-ups throughout the day. It contains microfibers that firmly cling to the skin and brow hairs. The manufacturer claims that this long-wear eyebrow mascara gives natural results, but in my case, it left my brows feeling too stiff. Overall, I recommend it, because it’s a really good product 🙂 However, the price is effectively a deterrent.
3# YSL Couture Brow Mascara

An iconic brow mascara that gives your eyebrows a nice shape, fills in the gaps, and makes the eyebrows… look good 😉 It comes at an average price considering its quality and efficiency. In my opinion, for this money, you will definitely be able to find a better product of this kind:) The eyebrow mascara fixes the brows in place, gives them a nice look, and intensifies their natural shade, giving a really lovely effect. The gel formula applies well, but I noticed that it leaves some clumps on my eyebrows. You also have to be careful during application, as you can easily apply too much and it doesn’t look good. It gives a shiny effect, which may not appeal to every woman, but for me it is okay. I use it for special occasions rather than everyday use.
4# DiorShow On Set Brow

This popular brow mascara gives brows extra volume. I must admit that I liked this effect 🙂 Unfortunately, you have to spend a lot of money on it, but you can’t deny its performance. The waterproof brow mascara gives a really good effect and scans withstand a lot 😉 It comes in a neutral and universal shade. In my opinion, it works best as a fixing product for other eyebrow-styling cosmetics. It’s quite easy to apply, but it’s just as easy to overdo it… excess product definitely doesn’t look good, and I’ve happened to apply too much of this brow mascara more than once. In addition, it gives an unpleasant stiff brow effect. This tinted eyebrow mascara camouflages the gaps and simply boosts any makeup. However, I prefer other eyebrow-styling cosmetics 😉
5# Lord & Berry Must Have Tinted Brow Mascara

A good brow mascara that is popular in the beauty market. It comes with a tiny brush, which is inconvenient to use. I definitely prefer bigger ones, but maybe you will like this one 🙂 It’s really expensive considering its quality and efficiency so I believe you can find better cosmetics at this price. This eyebrow mascara emphasizes and opens the eyes nicely and generally works well but I don’t use it too often because of its excessive price. In my opinion, it is not easy to apply, you can overdo it easily and create an unnatural effect. Well, you have to try it for yourself 😉
6# Lancome Sourcils Styler Brow Mascara

This brow mascara can be found in tinted and transparent versions. It comes at a good price considering its performance, however, in my opinion, the quality is questionable. I always have to touch up my eyebrows during the day after using the product, so I don’t think this mascara is a long-lasting product for special occasions. Sometimes I use it for everyday wear, but the results definitely aren’t impressive. Admittedly, the eyebrows look better, they look more defined, and there is no trace of gaps, but… it’s only temporary. This brow-styling mascara lasted at most a few hours on my brows, which is a huge downside. In addition, with excess product, this one can get flaky. The price may encourage you to try it, but so what if the results are nothing special… In addition, I think that the rounded brush is very inconvenient to use.
7# Kiko Milano Eyebrow Fibers Colored Mascara

A tinted eyebrow mascara that contains special fibers that give a glossy effect. It applies well, has a gel-like consistency, which I like, and doesn’t give an overdrawn effect. You can find it at a pretty good price. I’m very uncomfortable with the mini brush... I’ve never liked such applicators because I find them hard to work with. The product provides a precise eyebrow shape and a soft finish, so it works well for everyday use, but it definitely doesn’t suit me for special occasions where durability and precision are important. This eyebrow mascara is worth its price, you can create a pretty decent brow look with it 😉 Unfortunately, you need to do touch-ups during the day, because it is not a long-wear product.
8# Clinique Just Browsing Brush-On Styling MousseÂ

An eyebrow mascara in a mousse. It didn’t necessarily appeal to me, as I prefer gel formulas. I found it in just two shades and only in online beauty stores. Let me know if you have seen it in any regular store 😉 The price is ridiculous considering the quality and size of this mascara… I do not know if you can be tempted to buy this product. It gives nice results though, fills in even the most demanding eyebrows, and adds volume, but in this case, the results do not last more than a few hours. A waterproof eyebrow mascara should last at least 24 hours… Here, unfortunately, this is not the case, which is quite shocking given the price.
How to fill in the eyebrows with a mascara?
I think using brow mascara is a very quick and easy way to emphasize the shape of your eyebrows and give them the ultimate volume 🙂 How to fill in the eyebrows with a brow mascara step by step? See how easy and fun it is! How do I do it?
- First, I prep my eyebrows. I make sure they are clean and dry. In addition, I brush through them with a spoolie to shape them properly. I occasionally remove excess brow hairs with tweezers.
- I choose the right shade of my eyebrow mascara. You can choose the one that corresponds to your brow hairs, go slightly darker, or simply pick a transparent option. The product must have a comfortable brush to ensure precise brow makeup.
- I take out the mascara wand, remove excess product from the tip, and gently brush through my brows following the direction of their natural growth.
- I fill in my eyebrows from the inner edge and gently pull the brush towards the tail. I press gently to achieve a natural look and fill in the gaps between brow hairs. Then I define the bottom brow line following the direction of hair growth.
- I like to build up the coverage slowly. If my eyebrows seem too dark and overdrawn I comb them with a spoolie, getting rid of excess eyebrow mascara.
- After I finish defining my eyebrows, I avoid touching them for a few minutes so that the eyebrow mascara can dry and stay on my brows as long as possible. For special occasions, I add another styling product to my makeup routine if I need it. In addition, I highlight my eyebrows with concealer, giving them extra definition and the right shape.
Using eyebrow mascara just takes a little practice and patience. You can become your own best brow artist after just a few uses 😉 I think a good eyebrow mascara is an ideal option for beginners. You can achieve natural and beautiful results.
