I Check Out the Application And Durability Of DIY Lash Extensions From Top Brands

cluster lashes application

Probably many of you have the same problem as me. Namely, my natural eyelashes are quite sparse, which means that when I want to create a spectacular makeup look, I have to use cluster lashes. To save time, I recently switched to DIY lash extensions. These are applied much faster. In order to find the perfect set for at-home eyelash extensions, I decided to check out products from top brands for you. Check out my impressions after testing 5 popular kits.

Self-application cluster lashes are a quick way to achieve a WOW effect look

There are more than a few professional lash extension kits available on the market. Most makeup brands have cluster lashes in their range. I tested ones that are the most popular and which get the best reviews. I can already tell you that I do not agree with all of them.

DIY lashes allow you to get great results with minimal application time. They are applied underneath real lashes, which turns out to be much easier. With a little practice, any woman can handle it. Looking for the product with the highest number of good reviews, I came across a lash extension starter kit from Nanolash – DIY Eyelash Extensions Starter Kit. In addition to it, I tested 4 other lash kits. Find out which product turned out to be a hit.

At-home lash extensions kit- I tested 5 of them!

I wanted each lash extension kit I tested to be a product that would not disappoint. That’s why each one comes from a top brand with good reviews. However, I wouldn’t be myself if I didn’t test them myself and share my findings with you.

As a first try, I reached for perhaps the most popular lash extensions starter kit of recent times. I’m talking about the Nanolash DIY Eyelash Extensions Starter Kit. In it, I found:

  • 36 cluster eyelashes – they come in three lengths – 10, 12, and 14 mm,
  • a bonder and a sealer – two products necessary for applying the lashes (2x5ml),
  • an applicator – its shape is designed to facilitate the application and fuzing the clusters with natural eyelashes,
  • a remover – enables easier removal of the lashes (5ml).

After reading that it takes 10 minutes to put on these lashes, I was convinced that it was impossible. It used to take me up to half an hour to apply regular lash clusters. However, as it turned out, it didn’t take me a minute longer, so a huge plus for that.

What else I can say about these cluster lashes is that they are soft, and on top of that, I didn’t have to reach ttweezers when applying them. The applicator included in the kit did a great job.

The Nanolash DIY Eyelash Extensions Starter Kit comes with cluster lashes in eight styles. I chose the DIVINE style for my first time, but next time I’ll probably get the FLIRTY lashes. After careful application, they lasted exactly one week. From what I’ve seen from other reviews, they last even longer for some girls.

2. KISS Falscara Starter Kit

The second DIY lash extension kit I decided to check out was from the KISS brand. The Falscara Starter Kit is definitely a smaller kit, as it contains only 10 cluster lashes. What’s more, it includes only two products:

  • BOND – you apply it to your lashes before putting on the clusters,
  • SEAL – applied at a later stage in order to ensure that all the clusters stay in place for longer.

What I missed from this kit was a remover. In addition to the previously mentioned cluster lashes and the products, the kit from Kiss also included an applicator. It definitely made it easier to aplly the cluster lashes underneath my real lashes, and I did the styling just as quickly as with the lashes from the previous kit.

I liked the effect quite a lot. It was quite subtle, but I actually prefer it that way. I also managed to keep them on for a long time. Still, I find that the price to be excessive, considering the number of clusters you get, despite the easy application and relatively long durability of the product.

3. Tatti Lashes Invisi-Lash Kit

Tatti Lashes is a renowned and respected brand in the makeup world, so I tested its lash kit as well. It came with a choice of black or clear strips. I have a fairly dark eye frame, as I’m a brunette, so I chose black. I didn’t want the joining points to be too noticeable.

When you buy the Invisi-Lash Kit from Tatti Lashes kit, you have to choose the shape of the lashes. The brand offers 7 styles. In addition to the lashes, the kit includes Invisi-Lash Bond and Seal Glue of quite pleasant consistency, plus an applicator and a small brush. Once again, there was no remover.

I was able to put on the lashes from Tatti Lashes efficiently, and I was eager to reach for them once again. In the end, I managed to perform 7 applications with the kit, so that’s quite a lot.

4. Glamnetic Lash Extension Kit

The kit from Glamnetic, which came into my hands as the fourth product tested in this ranking, also featured a choice of different lash sizes and styles. In addition to the lashes, the brand included Bonder, Sealer, Remover, and an applicator in the kit. In this respect, I was very satisfied. Personally, I think that each of these items is essential for the lash style to look nice, be durable, and easy to remove later.

Glamnetic’s website stated that the clusters should last up to 5 days following the application. I removed them a little earlier. Why? Unfortunately, the kit is not without flaws. It’s well equipped, but the cluster lashes don’t look as nice and natural as ones from the other brands.

5. Lashify Starter Kit

There are brands whose products cost much more than average. Lashify is an example. Nevertheless, I decided to test this brand’s lash extension kit to see how it would differ from the others.

Like the cluster lashes from Nanolash, the Lashify Starter Kit is a professional lash extension kit with everything you need for styling yor lashes. On top of that, the high quality of each product is noticeable immediately. The cluster lashes themselves are very soft and look deceptively like natural lashes.

The effect was beautiful after applying them. I was even more dissapointed that the kit includes just 10 lash clusters. I used all of them during one makeup application. Although this is a really good kit and I had a great time working with, I think that considering such a low amount of lashes, its price is greatly exaggerated.

Which lash kit provided me with easy application and durability?

After testing and analyzing all the products, I have no doubts about which at-home lash extension kit to buy again. It will definitely be the Nanolash DIY Eyelash Extensions Starter Kit. I’m just not sure yet which lash style I would order next time. The kit has lived up to my expectations in all respects, so I can recommend this particular choice to you wholeheartedly.

As for the rest of the kits, I was mostly satisfied as well. Having said that, no other eyelash-styling starter kit features such a good value for money, as far as I’m concerned. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that if you decide to test DIY lashes from the same brands as I did, you’ll be equally satisfied with them.
